Today I finally wrestled the last bit of DNS magic and pointing my domain — dhakalsunil.com.np — to a working server. For the past week, I kept seeing that looping “pending” status on my registrar’s dashboard, and it felt like building a house with no doors. But!
✅ DNS Propagation Complete
✅ Hosting Configured
✅ WordPress Up and Running
Why This Matters
This site has always been my personal sandbox — a place to share whatever drifts into my head: late-night thoughts, random snapshots, half-baked ideas. But until now, the address itself was a dead end. No more:
“Wait… where am I supposed to post again?”
Now you can bookmark it, share it, or just drop by when you need a moment of unfiltered randomness.
What I Did
- Checked Registrar Settings
- Confirmed nameservers were set to my host.
- Removed the old A-record that pointed nowhere.
- Set Up Hosting
- Chose a lightweight VPS with automatic backups.
- Installed LAMP stack and secured it with a basic firewall.
- Installed WordPress
- Activated GeneratePress theme for a clean canvas.
- Imported the sqlite plugin so I can tinker with content offline if needed.
- Tested Everything
- Visited dhakalsunil.com.np from three different connections.
- Cleared caches and ran a simple speed test.
What’s Next
- Daily Journal: Short entries tagged “Journal” so you can scroll through by date.
- Gallery: A rotating preview of my latest snaps.
- Random Posts: I’ll drop in anything from plant observations to world news reactions.
No big roadmap, no pressure. Just me, trying to make this little corner of the web a genuine reflection of my brain on a good day — or a bad one.
Thanks for sticking around.
